Descripción 

The Test of English as a Foreign Language® is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. The test is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions.

This TOEFL course provides students with tips and strategies to accomplish an excellent score in the TOEFL test. We recommend that students who don’t feel confident about their English language fundamentals take the English courses from level I through V prior to this course.

PROFESOR

El profesor Enrique Donis es egresado de la Universidad Central de Venezuela en el año 2012 con el título de Licenciado en Idiomas Modernos. En el año 2016 finalizó un Maestría en Gerencia Educativa; un año después culminó la Especialización en Tecnología, Aprendizaje y Conocimiento; ambos Títulos los obtuvo en la Universidad Metropolitana.

OBJETIVOS

Tema 1: Introduction to the TOEFL preparation course

• Provide the student with a general overview of the exam

Tema 2: Reading section

• Provide the students with features in academic reading
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling factual / negative factual information questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling inference and rethorical purpose questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling vocabulary questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling sentence simplification questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling insert text questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling prose summary and filling the table questions

Tema 3: Reading challenge practice test

• Provide the students with elements and materials to practice the reading section

Tema 4: Listening section

• Provide the students with elements to know how to approach the listening section
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling GIS content and GIS purpose questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling detail and function questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling attitude and organization questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling connecting content and inference questions

Tema 5: Listening section – Listening challenge practice test

• Provide the students with elements and materials to practice the listening section

Tema 6: Speaking section

• Provide the students with elements to know how to approach the speaking section
• Provide the students with elements to handle the time for speaking questions
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling independent questions 1 and 2
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling integrated questions 3 and 5
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling integrated questions 4 and 6
• Provide the students with elements to know how the speaking section is scored

Tema 7: Speaking section – Speaking practice test

• Provide the students with elements and materials to practice the speaking section
• Provide the students with elements and materials to understand how to respond the speaking section

Tema 8: : Writing section

• Provide the students with elements to know how to approach the writing section
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling integrated questions 1
• Provide the students with characteristics and tips for handling independent questions 2

Tema 9: Writing section – Practice test

• Provide the students with elements and materials to practice the writing section
